The mother of PNCR vice-chairman and parliamentarian, Deborah Backer, Barbara Yvonne Osman, died on May 28 at the age of 81 at her Kingston home.

At its press conference on Thursday, the PNCR said that the leader, the central executive and members of the party extended their sympathy and condolences to the relatives and friends of Osman.

According to the party she had a career spanning 47 years, working as a teacher and then at the Rice Producers Association, Bookers Ltd and then Demerara Bauxite Company (DEMBA). She ended her working career at BIDCO, the holding company for the bauxite industry in Guyana.

Osman will be buried on Monday.
