Albert Henry Hollies, an immigrant from Guyana, was born on March 9, 1921 to Polina Rodrigues and Donald Couchman.

He attended and graduated from Modern High School in Georgetown, guyana. Albert served in the Royal Air Force during World War II. He received the Defense and War Medals.

He enjoyed life and was very hard-working. Before migrating to the United States, Albert worked at the Georgetown Hospital and later as Administrator of the Palms Hospital and Nursing Home. He spent the last 25 years of his life as a Real Estate Broker.

"Big Al" or Sonnie, as he was most commonly known, was a sports enthusiast. He was President of the Agricola Boxing Club and coached soccer for many years in Guyana.

Albert leaves behind his loving wife Ethel; his children Sonia, Nigel, Allison and Trevor.

He spent his last days surrounded by his loving family, including his brothers-in-law: Gordon, Desmond, Winston and Ashton; sisters-in-law: Pauline, Rosaline, Ambrosine and Veronica; cousins: Audrey and Vincent Arthur, along with two of his special friends Oswald and Michelle Jeffers.

On April 1, 2006, Albert surrendered to the will of God. He is now in the loving arms of the almighty Father.

Sonnie will be in our hearts forever.

Inserted by his loving family.
